The purpose of risk management in healthcare. Risks to patients, employees, and organizations are prevalent in health care. Thus, an organization needs to have qualified health risk managers to assess, develop, implement and monitor risk management plans with the goal of mitigating risks. A healthcare organization has many priorities, such as finances, safety, and most importantly, patient care. Topics Covered (Courseware will be provided): 1. What Is Risk Management in Healthcare? Definitions Used in Risk Management. 2. Effective Patient Care Practices & Type of Risk faced in health care organizations. 3. Developing Risk Management Plans. Risk Management Program in a Hospital. 4. Implementing Strategies for Patient Care. Tools for Risk Assessment. 5. Other Tools of Risk Assessment. Instructions: The 5 topics will be completed in 5 days. On the sixth day, you will have an online assignment test. The tests will be of a total of 100 marks in which 20 marks questions from each topic. 2 short answer type questions (5 marks each), 1 detailed answer type question with a minimum of 500 words required to be answered (10 marks), or a case study-based question with a minimum of 500 words required to be answered (10 marks). The certificate will be awarded only to those candidates who have a minimum of 80% marks. Re-attempt will not be available.
